The Rupert Thackray Prize in Music Education, consisting of the annual income after capitalisation, in accordance with Senate policy, on funds donated to the then Department of Music by students and friends of the late Rupert Thackray, senior lecturer in music at The University of Western Australia from 1974 to 1985, and internationally recognised for his work in music education and aural training, is established. 2. The prize is awarded to the student who, in the opinion of the full-time staff of the School of Music, has achieved the best academic performance in the Bachelor of Music Education. |
