1. The Westralian Association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (WATESOL) supports the professional learning of new teachers by providing a prize for graduates in the Faculty of Education.

2. The WATESOL Prize, comprising a certificate and one-year membership of WATESOL, is awarded by the Board of Examiners to the student with the highest average mark in EDUC8467 TESOL Curriculum I and EDUC8477 TESOL Curriculum II.
