Bayliss Prize consists of the annual income after capitalisation, in accordance with Senate policy, on a sum of money donated by colleagues and students of Professor Sir Noel Bayliss in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the University and in particular, to the then Department of Chemistry. 2. The prize is awarded by the Board of Examiners in Life and Physical Sciences to the student who, among those completing the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry, has the highest aggregate mark for CHEM1101 Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, CHEM1102 Organic Chemistry, CHEM2210 Structure Determination and Physical Chemistry, CHEM2211 Synthetic and Materials Chemistry, CHEM2220 Analytical and Physical Chemistry, CHEM2221 Biological and Medicinal Chemistry, CHEM3309 Chemistry in the Workplace and any three other Level 3 chemistry units. |
