Graeme Yates Memorial Prize for Interdisciplinary Studies in Physiology and Physical Science [F1203]

The Graeme Yates Memorial Prize of $250, provided annually by the School of Biomedical and Chemical Sciences to commemorate Dr Graeme Yates, a physics honours graduate of this University and a Senior Research Fellow in the then Department of Physiology who pursued a distinguished career in research into the fundamental physics of the biological system, is awarded by the appropriate Board of Examiners on the recommendation of the teaching staff in physiology, to the student who, while completing in the same calendar year PHYL3340 Advanced Cellular Physiology and/or PHYL3350 Physiological Control Mechanisms together with Level 3 units to a minimum value of 12 points in physics, biophysics or biomedical engineering, shows the greatest aptitude and promise in the application of physical science principles to the study of physiology.
