Peter Anderton Memorial Medal and Prize in General Practice * [F25896]

1. The Peter Anderton Memorial Medal and Prize in General Practice consists of a medal and a prize provided from the annual income after capitalisation in accordance with Senate policy on a sum of $50,000 which was contributed by donors to the Peter Anderton Memorial Fund.

2. The medal and prize are awarded by the Board of Examiners in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences to the student in the course for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree with the highest average mark across the clinical components of all the following units:

• IMED1111 Foundations of Clinical Practice Part 1 and IMED1112 Foundations of Clinical Practice Part 2;
• IMED2211 Foundations of Clinical Practice Part 1 and IMED2212 Foundations of Clinical Practice Part 2;
• IMED3311 Foundations of Clinical Practice Part 1 and IMED3312 Foundations of Clinical Practice Part 2;
• IMED5531 General Practice and Ophthalmology Part 1 and IMED5532 General Practice and Ophthalmology Part 2; and
• IMED 6631 Rural General Practice Part 1 and IMED6632 Rural General Practice Part 2.
