The Navaretnam Memorial Prize in Medical Microbiology consists of the annual income from £400 presented by members of the family of Dharmalingam Navaretnam and by staff and students of the then School of Medicine, in memory of Dharmalingam Navaretnam, a fifth-year medical student who died as a result of an accident. 2. The prize is awarded by the appropriate Board of Examiners to the student who gains the highest aggregate mark for the medical microbiology and immunology components of IMED3340 Infectious Diseases Part 1 and IMED3341 Infectious Diseases Part 2 in the course for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. |
