Ten Seldam Prize in Pathology [F2790]1. The Ten Seldam Prize in Pathology consists of the annual income after capitalisation in accordance with Senate policy from a sum of $10,000 donated to the University by Professor R. E. J. Ten Seldam, Foundation Professor of Pathology. 2. TheĀ prize is awarded by the selection committee described in 4 to the student who, among those who have completed the course for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, has gained the highest aggregate mark in examinations in pathology in units of the course. 3. If examinations in pathology cease to be held, theĀ prize will be awarded by the selection committee, following consultation with the Professors of Medicine and Surgery, to the student who has shown the greatest merit in pathology in the clinical components of the course. 4. The selection committee comprises: (a) the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences as chair; (b) the Professor of Pathology; and (c) two members of the senior academic staff in Pathology nominated by the academic staff in pathology. 5. Should more finance accrue than is necessary to cover the annual award of the prize, the excess will be available for research and other special purposes in pathology on the advice of the Professor of Pathology. |
