Rex T. Prider Medal [F1913]

1. The Rex T. Prider Medal is provided from the sum of $4100 presented by colleagues and students of Professor R. T. Prider during the period from 1934 until 1975 when he was a member of the academic staff of the then Department of Geology.

2.(1) The medal is awarded each year to the student who, of those who are completing the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science with Honours in that year and whose research work has been supervised substantially within geology and geophysics has, in the opinion of the selection committee, shown the greatest aptitude for research.

(2) The selection committee consists of the Head of the School of Earth and Environment as chair and the academic staff involved in the teaching of geology and geophysics.
