Distinguished International Alumnus Award [F8143]The Distinguished International Alumnus Award was established by the University Senate to recognise outstanding contributions made by the University's international graduates in countries other than Australia, which have served to enhance the University's reputation internationally. The award is made in accordance with the following regulations. 1. The award is made to a graduate who, having completed a degree of the University as an international student, has subsequently made an outstanding contribution to a country or countries other than Australia. 2. The award comprises a suitably inscribed wall plaque. 3.(1) Nominations for the award may be made by any person associated in any way with the University and must be supported in writing by a second person who is a graduate of the University. (2) Nominations must comprise a brief statement of the case in favour of an award and a citation setting out the details of the nominee's achievements. (3) Nominations must be lodged in confidence with the Registrar and must not be communicated to the nominee. 4. The Honorary Degrees Committee will make decisions on the granting of awards, having regard to the advice of the Warden of Convocation and the Director of the International Centre. |
