Richard Walter Gibbon Medical Research Fellowship

The late Mr Richard Walter Gibbon having left to
the University his residuary estate to be used by the Faculty of
Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences for research into the
causes and treatment of cancer and Parkinson's disease, a fund is
established to enable the award of fellowships which are
administered in accordance with the regulations governing the
Medical Awards as published in the University's Scholarships, Prizes and Endowments
volume1 and with the regulations which
follow.
1. Each fellowship is called a
Richard Walter Gibbon Medical Research Fellowship.
2. The object of a fellowship is
to facilitate and encourage students to pursue postgraduate
research in cancer or Parkinson's disease in the Faculty of
Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at this University and
each fellowship is awarded for work in a relevant field.
