Cancer Council of Western Australia Undergraduate Cancer Research Scholarship [F7820]1. The Cancer Council of Western Australia Undergraduate Cancer Research Scholarship of $400 provided by the Cancer Council of Western Australia is available for award annually. 2. The scholarship will be reduced if the scholar is in receipt of Youth Allowance but will not be reduced to less than $312. 3. The object of the scholarship is to encourage an interest by medical undergraduates in cancer research. 4. The scholarship is tenable for one year only and will be awarded to an undergraduate permitted to take a course of study and research within the general field of cancer for the degree of Bachelor of Medical Science. 5.(1) The scholar must supply to the Cancer Council of Western Australia through their head of school a copy of the thesis or report submitted by them in fulfilment of the requirement for the degree of Bachelor of Medical Science. (2) In any publication arising from the work carried out under the scholarship, acknowledgment must be made of the financial support received from the Cancer Council of Western Australia and one copy of each of such publications must be supplied to the Cancer Council. 6. Applications must be submitted to reach the Registrar by 30 November in the year preceding that for which the award is sought. 7. When an award is made, the Registrar must inform the Cancer Council of the name of the scholar and of the amount and dates of tenure of the award. |
