Cancer Foundation of Western Australia Bachelor of Medical Science Scholarship [F7864]The Cancer Foundation of Western Australia having agreed to provide $10,000 per annum for the purposes of encouraging research in the area of cancer at the undergraduate level, the Cancer Foundation of Western Australia Bachelor of Medical Science Scholarship is established and is awarded under the following regulations. 1. The scholarship is offered to provide a grant to a student to undertake the Bachelor of Medical Science degree in a research area relevant to cancer and allied disorders. 2. Only projects proposed by undergraduate medical students who have shown special aptitude in their studies and who are recommended by the head of the school concerned as suitable for advanced work are considered for the scholarship. 3. The award is made by the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences in consultation with the head of the school in which the project is to be undertaken. 4. The scholarship must be advertised in time for applications to be lodged by 31 October of the year preceding that for which the scholarship is sought. 5. Any thesis or publication resulting from research under the grant must acknowledge the assistance of the scholarship. |
