Henry Maxwell and Alexander Lefroy and Milne-Robertson Memorial Fund [F7763]The Henry Maxwell Lefroy and Alexander Milne-Robertson Memorial Fund was established under the will of the late Margaret C. G. Milne-Robertson for the purpose of providing bursaries to needy medical students. The fund will be administered in accordance with the following regulations. 1. Bursaries of not less than $1000 per annum, their precise amount to be determined by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, may be awarded by the Vice-Chancellor to such undergraduates in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry as shall from time to time be adjudged by the Dean of that Faculty to be the most fit and proper to receive them. 2. To be granted a bursary a student must— (a) possess sufficient merit as demonstrated by the results of the first or the first and any subsequent examinations in the course for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery; and (b) demonstrate that without the assistance of a bursary economic hardship would be suffered of a kind which would be seriously prejudicial to the successful completion of the MB BS course within a reasonable time. 3. A bursary may be granted for a period not exceeding four years. |
